Street Smarts

Street Smarts

In high school, one of the huge bullies, George, used to prevent us from getting into our lockers for the week unless we paid him a quarter. One week, I gave him fifty cents and told him it was for this week and next. He said, “Great!” So the next week I reminded him of our deal, he thought for a moment, and said, “Yeah, right…”

And I reminded him of that deal on the third week, and fourth week, and fifth week….

If you can't outthink a bully, the bully is the least of your own problems.
