I’m Bright Because I’m Loquacious

I’m Bright Because I’m Loquacious

Have you ever dealt with someone who either talks at great length with no concern as to whether you’re engaged, or who cuts you off when you attempt to contribute? This is the “red zone” of self-absorption, when someone is totally uninterested in anyone else. “Enough about me, what do you think of me?”

Ironically, it’s caused by low self-esteem, and the need to try to impress others through sheer weight of words.

Pretend you have a call on your silenced phone, or look at your watch and realize you’re late for an appointment. Or spill your drink on yourself. It will take the other person five minutes to realize you’re gone.
