Of Whose Time?

Of Whose Time?

We hear of the top 10 or 50 or 100 “of all time”: songs, horror films, cars, song writers, athletic feats, and so on.

Yet they are usually the top whatever of that person’s memory. So when, inexplicably, a great film or person is omitted, it’s because the lister has neglected to research history and is relying only on personal memory and memories of peers. And so “I Love Lucy” is left off of great comedies, or “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” great horror films, or Gershwin from great composers.

We need to consider others’ perspectives and world view in order to communicate, learn, and/or influence.
