The Hidden Audience

I was out on the balcony on a high floor of the Ritz Carlton in Naples early one morning watching one of the machines that cleans the sand chug along. When it reached a place where there was an alley between buildings and a paper bag had been blown in there, the operator stopped the tractor, walked in the alley, and retrieved the bag. There was no one around and he couldn't have known I was way up there at 7am.

It's not what we do when people are watching that determines our self-worth, it's what we do when no one is watching.
