The Dog Star: Who’s With Me?

The Dog Star: Who’s With Me?

(The Dog Star is a symbol of power, will, and steadfastness of purpose, and exemplifies the One who has succeeded in bridging the lower and higher consciousness. – Astrological Definition)

I’ve worked with many CEOs who were visionary, big picture thinkers. But some solely looked ahead and never looked around.

When Bentley realizes we’re headed toward the treat drawer, or the yard, or the truck, he runs ahead, but stops periodically to see if I’m still coming. He stops at intersections in the house to ensure I’m going his way.

The old adage about looking out the windshield and not the rear view mirror is catchy, but we ALL look out the read view mirror at times to ensure there’s nothing unexpected happening behind us.

If your team isn’t following quickly, you’ve lost sight of them, or they’ve taken another turn, all the vision in the world isn’t helpful because there’s no one along with you to implement it.

Tell your client to look around and make sure it’s not a solo journey.
