Electronic Dirt

Electronic Dirt

Spam is worthless, just like the old “junk mail” (which still exists). Basically, these are people trying to land some business “the easy way” with blanket emails that cost nothing. I think that almost all of them are inferior service providers, and some are outright scammers. I once experimented to have someone in India create a Wikipedia page, and he couldn't get my birthdate or publishing records correct, much less get anything onto Wikipedia. They have no brands, no track records, and it's basically a matter of sending thousands upon thousands of emails to see what sticks.

When we were kids, we'd take mounds of dirt, compress them, and literally throw them against a wall to see what would stick. Very little did, and in quick order even those that did fell off.

Throwing dirt is throwing dirt and, to my knowledge, none of my childhood friends made a career of it.
