And Now, Following the Trained Seals….

And Now, Following the Trained Seals….

There’s an old aphorism about not buying the most expensive house in the neighborhood, or being the smartest person in a mastermind group. I think that’s nonsense. Choose a house that makes you happy, not because of resale potential. And someone has to be the smartest person in the group unless everyone is an idiot.

However, I do find that it’s very hard to stand out on social media unless you control (e.g., with “groups”) to whom you’re appealing. Even a great video, or podcast, or article is not going to be seen or heard as much if it’s surrounded by schlock, people selling dumb investment advice, citing “Be kind to each other” as a “bold truth,” or appearing on a video with a bad background, tee-shirt, and unkempt appearance.

Your house and your intellect cannot be made shoddier by others, but your marketing can be.
