Jet Blue Class

Jet Blue Class

We had two male flight attendants on Jet Blue (1288, West Palm to Providence) yesterday who were beyond pretentious. One shouted at everyone to stop talking so that their announcements could be heard. We were told several times to keep our elbows and shoulders tucked in while they moved the carts in the aisles. They prohibited lavatory use while the carts were in the aisles (“or you won’t be able to return”).

I asked one guy, with my shoulders carafelly tucked in, if I could get a drink. He told me with unhidden exasperation “I just TOLD you this was not the drink cart, it’s behind me! I told him that I’m sorry, I wasn’t very good in school, either. (I imagine I have four more degrees than he has.) “I was a teacher,” he said, loftily. “Why doesn’t that surprise me?” I said rhetorically.

These two treated passengers like children and were minimally polite. That’s very unusual for Jet Blue. But it’s not unusual for pompous asses.
