Neigh!!

Neigh!!

I’ve made the point that when the automobile was invented and proved practical, they didn’t then go out and shoot all the horses. Yet the pony express stopped delivering messages when the telegraph and telephone and trains entered society. They didn’t try to breed faster horses, but horses were simply used for different purposes and are very much a part of our lives today: recreation, sports, transportation, and so forth.

The difference is focusing on the outcome needed (speed of communication, speed of travel) and not the no-longer effective and outdated alternative.
