The Terrorist Bentley

The Terrorist Bentley

So the “terrorist threat” at the bridge in Canada was really about two wealthy pillars of the community in a $300,000 Bentley rushing to a Kiss concert that they didn’t know had been cancelled. Maybe we need to stop defaulting to worst case scenarios without having more information. My sympathies to their families. The authorities are investigating whether it was driver error or a mechanical failure.

But this is an age where TSA legally views you as guilty until you prove your innocence. Every year they display how many weapons they’ve found in carry-on luggage. Are these terrorist acts or just stupidity (or forgetfulness)?

I was held for an hour in London’s Heathrow because (after the bomb-sniffing dogs and the constabulary) it was found that a hotel sleep aid spray I had thrown in my carry-on registered as bomb material.
