Those Lagging Behind Need to Stay There

It's time that the “tipping” debates be put to rest. That's the system here in the US, and a huge amount of people add to their ability to make a living with jobs that include tipping. Protesting this (or worse, not tipping) is like trying to apply the metric system because most of the world uses it: “Oh, just go another ten kilometers,” or “Cut 103mm of fabric.” No one wants to be near you with that attitude.

And while I'm on the topic, bringing your own food or drink into a restaurant is a sign of such arrogance, and so gauche, that you should be tossed out, preferably defenestrated. Stopping in a breakfast place and hauling along your own Starbucks coffee tells me your self-absorption requires the coffee be dumped on your head.
