Learning in Defeat

Learning in Defeat

Do you learn daily? Even from a “defeat” or setback, you can learn. You can ask the buyer who rejected your proposal, “What could I have done better to earn your business?” You can ask a furious customer or client, “What will make you happy?” You can ask yourself why you’re doing someone else’s failure work.

If you don’t try to learn every day, you’re dooming yourself to unnecessary errors and difficulties in the future. In other words, you’re wasting a large portion of your life.

Lincoln lost several local and state elections, learned from them, became president, and saved the nation (and changed the future of the world).
