Getting Out from Under Overwhelm and “Panic”

Getting Out from Under Overwhelm and “Panic”

If you find yourself in “overwhelm” or semi-panic, take the time to stop whatever you're doing and focus on the fact that you're actually okay as you sit there. At this moment you're fine. Find the cause of the current “threat” or feeling of “weigh” on you if you can. Try to eliminate it. (Don't deal with certain people, don't accept certain projects, don't agree to attempts to “guilt” you.) Take some deep breaths. Ask yourself who can help you, who can give you objective advice, and plan to contact them. The future of the planet is not at stake. Focus on your next ten minutes.
