Whose Business Is This?

Whose Business Is This?

I've noticed that when we have repair people and professionals here who are independent and own their businesses, they are universally polite and happy, and almost always on time. But when we have such people here who work for someone else (Verizon, ATT, large electric or plumbing contractors, etc.) they are often unhappy and sometimes rude, and are late most of the time. (I also find the drivers for UPS and FedEx far better than those from Prime, which I think says something about those employers.)

When you own your own business you care more, have a better boss, and realize the customer is directly responsible for your next piece of business and referrals. The best companies have created employee mentalities which have them understand that it is their business, too. It's all too rare.
