Better Practices

Better Practices

Don't be lulled into the false comfort of “best practices.” The phrase implies the ne plus ultra, but that's an ephemeral standard. Every day we're improving, reaching new goals, from the ridiculous (shaving five minutes off of our commute) to the sublime (curing disease). “Best Practices” urge us to sit back and relax, because we believe we've achieved all there is to achieve.

We need to focus on Better Practices, a daily pursuit of improvement, innovation, and excellence. The Wright Brothers put a small, propelled glider into the air. That was the start, but over half a century later we were on the moon.

In your business and your life, shoot for the stars.
