    Alan,
Do you have any suggestions for non-traditional doctorate programs in organizational psychology?
    Many thanks.

You get back what you put in, so you have to be prepared to do everything well. For example, I used three of my clients for my dissertation study, served on a suicide hotline, etc. I used California Coast, which is now accredited by the way, but I don’t know if they are still offering a PhD in psychology.

Thank you Alan. They’re offering it as EdD. Recognizing all the intangibles such as work ethic, people skills, etc., I’m assuming that your internal OD background certainly helped in choosing a non-traditional route as well as taking an entrepreneurial path.
I have a master’s in sports management, an extensive coaching background, several corporate contacts, yet zero OD experience. Because of this, I’m shooting for traditional doctorate route at a local university (Missouri-St. Louis) as a transition into organizational development and/or solo consulting.
    Any advice?

    Alan,

A recent search for the term “consulting blog” in Google places you number 1. This is not a US biased search. I’m currently in Hong Kong, and the Google.com and Google.com.hk sites yield the same result.

Well deserved. This is a clear sign that Google knows what it’s doing.
