General Advisories

If you’re joining me on Linkedin and then are going to solicit me for some dumb-ass scheme the next day, save your breath. This is one of the stupidest of all the terrible marketing tactics today, and these attempts usually brag about how they can “improve your marketing.”

If you are trying to place links and guest articles and so forth on my blog or site, the fee is $50,000. We all know it’s a scam, it does absolutely nothing for me (despite your “high content” pieces) and you’re a moron.

When you call me as a “PR firm which wants to promote my latest book,” it might help if you spoke understandable English, there wasn’t a huge din from the boiler room behind you in Manila, and you understood that I’m not “Mr. Alan.” I wouldn’t allow you to stand in line for me at the deli counter of the supermarket.

If you’re going to try to strike up a conversation with the brilliant questions, “What are you up to these days?” or “How are you today?” please don’t. And don’t claim you’re not trying to get free coaching. My favorite was a dim bulb who said, “I am NOT asking for free coaching, I just want some advice.” Oh, okay, my advice is to go away.
