Heading Down Under

We’re waiting in the lounge for our trip to Brisbane. They want you at the airport for international flights (LAX) four hours early, before the gate agents even arrive! Qantas people were extremely efficient, pre-check was fast, even my wife breezed through with her artificial joints as fast as I did. The Centurion Lounge has improved hugely, and the gate is a ten-minute walk from here. I’d rather be sitting here for two hours than on the freeway. We’re looking art 14 hours to Brisbane.

I first visited Australia in the late 70s, eventually had responsibility for our business there (I ran Asia/Australia/South America for a consulting firm) and have been returning for 40 years.

We get to spend time with newest granddaughter, Everleigh, coming and going in LA.
