I love people who leave a message to call them back, have voice mail, and are trying to solicit me.

Isn’t it amazing how cheats and crooks have proliferated online? Every time I have an interaction with Amex I receive in a few minutes a fraudulent message that my account is suspended, and I have to go to a site to re-enter my personal information. They’ve hacked into something, but are so stupid their return address is somewhere in Eastern Europe (or, of course, Nigeria).

The degree to which dishonesty, avarice, and greed have been magnified by the internet is incredible. What is it like to go through life trying to enrich yourself at others’ expense? (I’m not counting politicians here.)
