Sit Down and Shut Up, All of You

What a great lesson both our political parties give our children during the State of the Union address: childish behavior, refusal to honor people by standing, egotism unbounded, disruptions, and people removed. That's the way they're indicating others should act to be powerful.

There is no requirement for a live State of the Union, and it was merely a paper report submitted to Congress by the President until Woodrow Wilson decided to do it person. And now we're reaping what he sowed.
