Statuettes

I thought the Oscars were a better production last night, with less stupid “patter” (though there was some), more elegant fashion, and a much earlier start. As I predicted, Oppenheimer cleaned up (7 Oscars, including best actor, best movie, best direction), and Jimmy Kimmel, with 21 writers helping him, was a bore.

If Kimmel wasn’t there at all, the production would have been far better. He had to do pandering political jokes at the end just to get some laughs from the highly-liberal crowd.
