The Small Minds of Some Small Businesses

The Small Minds of Some Small Businesses

If you own a coffee shop, why wouldn’t you be open at least at 6 am when you can see that Dunkin’ Donuts is doing business from 5 am? And if you own a restaurant, and most of your competition is closed on Mondays, why not stay open on Monday and close on Tuesday (or stay open 7 days—the excuse that “you can’t find employees” is rather lame these days)?

On some weekends, retail stores close at 6 while people are going to and eventually coming from dinner. Wouldn’t you like them to stop in?

Small business success is never easy, but that’s no reason to make it even harder.
