The “Successories” Mindset

The “Successories” Mindset

All over social media we find people with “lists”: 15 key points for management to know about employees; 7 myths of effective leadership; the 12 rules to ensure participation; ad nauseam. Have these people served as leaders, owned major businesses, managed people in large numbers? No. they’re simply foisting opinions within platitudes within condescension. But it’s not a theoretical world. John Dewey said that “saints engage in introspection while burly sinners run the world.”

It’s easy to sit back and give advice by the numbers on a chart. It’s another thing entirely to engage is daily application of your beliefs. Put up or shut up.
