Today’s Obviousity

Today’s Obviousity

My obviousity for today:

In all of my work with senior executives in major companies, I’ve never once seen any of them pull out a list or view a graph when considering how to empower people, or increase performance, or deal with conflict. They usually consult people they respect, inside or outside of the organization, and exchange ideas that have worked.

I have seen a great many ineffective consultants who attempt to work at lower levels create all kinds of charts, graphs, and references and plaster them all over social media.

You have to assume you’re dealing with adults who aren’t somehow “damaged” and certainly not clueless. You discuss intelligent options, tailored for that client. You don’t sell “packages” or “programs” or “tests.”
