Why Are You There?

Why Are You There?

When you're nervous before you speak, it's because you're worried about YOU and your performance, and what people might say about you.

I'm eager to get started when I speak because I can't wait to help the client, which I know I'll do. It's hugely enjoyable.

Think of the client, who is paying you, not yourself, and you'll quiet your nerves and do a great job. But if you think you're there to be “evaluated” and judged, you're not going to have a very good time. Neither is the client.
