Yes, But Why?

When someone tells you that you’ve done good work, don’t just pat yourself on the back or hang the “smile sheet” on the wall.

Ask, “Why do you feel that way?”

Once you find that out you’ll know exactly what to replicate in the future, what to promote in terms of the results you generate, and how to appeal to higher-level needs.

Of course, they might just say that, “The prior person doing this was a thief, and at least you’re honest and show up on time.” In which case, you may not want to add that to your testimonials.
