You Think You Can Teach Me to Write Books, and for Only A Modest Fee?

Weekly I receive messages from people who asked to link with me on Linkedin telling me that I can join them to learn how to write books, market my services, obtain speaking fees, and so forth. They do zero homework, are too lazy to go to my site, and simply Link like gnats to whomever they can and try to bite them. This brings shallowness to new depths.

First, don't try to link in order to solicit me with your amateurish marketing. Second, don't try to sell me something in an area when you're talking to the authority: Me.

It's hard to understand this kind of arrant stupidity.

Yeah, I get similar offers practically daily — Not about writing books, but regarding my areas of expertise… Sadly, they are all using “AI-driven” software that scrapes the web and LinkedIn to generate those automated emails by the *million* a day. They don’t really care, and if they get 1 response out of a million approaches, they are happy. If they call me (which some do), I sometimes have fun with them.

I once fired a client, shortly after engaging with me for services, who wanted me to help him continue doing this… He would purchase hundreds of domain names per year and ‘burn’ through email addresses by the thousands as they get blocked over time. He didn’t care — He thought that was “marketing”.
