The Empathic Coach

The Empathic Coach

If you want to be a really great coach (and less of a boor) STOP telling people how YOU do things, as if that will improve them. Try to understand who they are, what their skills, affinities, and potential are, and suggest to them how THEY can do things better.

You don’t need certificates, honorifics, approvals, or secret handshakes to be a coach (much less 30 initials after your name).

You need empathy. And that’s not exactly in huge supply.
