The Importance of Always Striving to be on Top of Your Game

The Importance of Always Striving to be on Top of Your Game

Upsets happen because teams (and people) have a range of successful behaviors. At times, the “better” team (more talented players, more money, better coaching) plays near the bottom of its successful behavior, and a lesser team will play near the very top of its successful behaviors, that that creates a sufficient “window” for an upset. Sometimes the upset is massive, with a very strong team not taking the other seriously enough, and the “weaker” team motivated to play at their very best level possible for that same reason.

If you want to be a champion, you need to always be at the top of your game.
