Guest Column: 50 Ways to Call Your Mentor
50 Ways to Call Your Mentor
by Robbie Baxter and Dan Weedin
Are you being mentored or coached and don’t know why or when to call your mentor? Maybe you’ve never been mentored or coached because you don’t know how to use one. We sometimes have even heard from the consultants that we coach and mentor that they are unsure of when to call us. They get so caught up in their everyday “grind,” that they lose focus on when to get help to escape the “grind!”
Bottom line – there’s no need to be coy, Roy. Just set yourself free (apologies to Simon & Garfunkel). Use this template and be assertive. Have the confidence to know that you’ve hired your mentor to dramatically grow your practice and improve your life. Don’t slip out the back, Jack! Use our suggestions early and often to improve yourself. These should keep you, and us, busy!
