A Man on the Moon or A Kid in A Classroom

How is it that we could land men on the moon in the late 60s and a half-century later have failed to solve the problems of poverty and unequal opportunity? How is it we create holographic images and 3-D printing, but not effective online learning?

We talk a lot about STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) learning, but maybe what we need is a lot more HEED (humanity, ethics, equality, decency) learning. Eugene McCarthy said once that “whatever is morally necessary must be made politically possible.” Of course, he lost in his efforts to become President.
