Didn’t I Have Two Children?

Didn’t I Have Two Children?

Multi-tasking is largely a myth for humans. Focus on one thing at a time, do it to the best of your ability, then move to the next thing. It’s that simple. Doing three things at once will produce three mediocre results that usually have to be redone (or that represent you very poorly). I’m sure you can walk the dog and sing, but I don’t think you can watch a football game and create a client proposal.

Yesterday, here in Palm Beach, I saw a woman take her two small children to the pool. She worked her phone and then suddenly noticed one of the kids was gone. It turned out that he had walked away, over a small bridge, and down to the ocean. She screamed at the other child for not keeping an eye on his brother.

I’m sure her email didn’t go so well, either,.
