Excellent points. I suppose someone should have warned you about the dangers of your social media “subjects” before you jumped in and became the king. The funny thing is that while I don’t have a Twitter account, but follow yours, I just had to see what this fellow’s histrionics were all about. I got nowhere. Regardless of his personal views, the concept of social media standards is tenuous at best – as you have pointed out in your own unique way. Nevertheless, he (and others like him) seem to take great pride in numbers of followers and “retweets”, among other similar pointless metrics. Meanwhile, people like you (professionals, consultants, and other similar service providers) provide real value to real people, Twitter or not. Perhaps Koufax should be the king…the world may truly be going to the dogs.

The non-intellectual pursue “things” and “task.” The rest of us look for value and results. Can you see the guys shouting at Columbus, “We can’t leave, there are tears in the sales and there are rats on board!”
