“Here’s What I Wish I Had Said” Doesn’t Really Help

“Here’s What I Wish I Had Said” Doesn’t Really Help

The problem with holding a grudge against someone—wanting vengeance or harboring hatred—is that they probably are unaware of your feelings. If you haven't spoken out to argue or clarify or correct, how would they know you're upset? Consequently, they can never “free” you from your acrimony and antipathy, because they don't know you're harboring it. So your stress builds and builds without any relief.

If you believe you've been wronged, speak up. Even if it results in an argument, it's better than becoming ill from the stress of doing nothing. And, of course, you may just find out that you're the one who's misinterpreted or is simply wrong.
