“I”m Late, I’m Late, for a Very Important Date” (The White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland)

“I”m Late, I’m Late, for a Very Important Date” (The White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland)

I find that I'm getting bills later than ever, with less time to pay them before they're overdue. I don't like autopay with organizations sticking their tentacles into my bank accounts. But I think there is a concerted effort to force consumers to take the “easy and safe” route and allow for autopay, which is far less expensive for the biller. I'm also receiving notices, particularly from AT&T, citing “overdue” bills that are actually not due for a few more days. Is that like being on time for a meeting means you're late, when uttered by a psycho boss?

I am not a conspiracy nut, but these are the facts. And I do believe in The Invasion of the Body Snatchers (the original, not the remake).
