In Case You Were Wondering What I Was Thinking

In Case You Were Wondering What I Was Thinking

  • Every morning I go to my website and click on the menu button that says “Discover Alan.” But my introspection never improves.
  • Everyone tries to spell my name “Allan.” We were poor. My parents couldn’t afford two “l”s.
  • The early bird may catch the worm, but it’s the early worm that gets caught. Has anyone bothered to think about this from the worm’s view?
  • Somehow “We have prime rib tonight” is a lot less pretentious than “Chef will be preparing….” When I appear at a client, should they say, “Consultant will be recommending….”
  • Have you noticed the thousands of empty seats at most Olympic events, even the finals of the major competitions? Why would any city bid on this economic disaster?
  • Why isn’t Dyson, geniuses in air movement (vacuums, dryers), providing equipment to dry cars in automated car washes, which leave the car soaking wet?
  • People who unsubscribe from a free newsletter because they don’t agree with a positon in one issue are intellectually void. They are the ostriches of intellect.
  • Note that when hurdlers hit a hurdle, they simply keep on running.
  • Four-way stop intersections work well because no one wants their car hit, so they carefully take turns. If you want commitment, create self-interest.
  • Gee, post-Brexit, the world goes on.

I have loved your random thoughts on life this week! Also, perhaps since worms are nocturnal, the early bird devours the procrastinating worm?
