    Thank you for an interesting paper. As a humble CRM practitioner I see lots of consulting and software engineering efforts being invested into Social Media and Customer-centricity, but the results so far have been more about looking, not booking. Social media is still young and its realm today, youth, smartphones, and attention spans of a lightning rod, may suit certain industries but it isn’t a significant contributor to “market gravity” of a consulting company because executives do not yet spend much of their time on social media. So, for now, the “Alanism” of minimizing social media times makes more sense and efforts be placed on marketing with emails and other touchpoints. Alan, I’d very much love to see you write a book about applying your vast knowledge into technology consulting.
