Qantas: Dumb Ass, Stupid Management
My wife and I travel full fare, first class. it’s my legitimately earned money, and we want to take care of ourselves when we travel. When we go to Australia, as we were scheduled but had to cancel, and will reschedule, the tickets cost about $35,000 round trip. When we cancelled because of the health crisis and restrictions from both the Australian and US governments making the trip impossible, Qantas exacted a $500 cancellation fee per ticket.
That’s their right, but it’s not the right thing to do. I can afford it, but American, on the US part of the trip, provided a full refund.
