Verizon March Toward the Horizon: Dumb Ass Stupid Management

Verizon March Toward the Horizon: Dumb Ass Stupid Management

Today, my dogs barking like crazy, two young people are banging on my door decked out in Verizon shirts. They tell me they’re here to talk about my phone service. They have walked 200 yards on private property, past signs to that effect and notices of “beware of dog” and “no trespassing.” Bentley is trying to push the door wider, and I’m inclined to let him to see just how fast the two bozos can run off.

Verizon leaves dopey, annoying messages on my phone. They send me a pile of junk mail weekly. They are the most annoying, inept marketers I know. They don’t have a brain in their head about what would attract more business. I’ve refused their internet offers, moved my business away except for one minor line I can’t move, and tried to ignore them.

I don’t see how anyone this stupid can run a marketing operation. His or her last job must have been selling quadraphonic sound or Nehru jackets or pet rocks. Marketers are supposed to evoke action. But I don’t this this is the right kind.

And who do you hire who walks past a profile of a German Shepherd with the words, “I can make it to the fence in three seconds, can you?” Verizon is certainly not pulling in the best and the brightest, but the dullest and  the most obnoxious.

Dumb ass, stupid management award of the month.
