Voting for the Hell of It

Voting for the Hell of It

You can’t make this up.

The mayor or Providence, Jorge Elorza, has claimed that there are problems with the primary voting scheduled for tomorrow, and that he has reason to believe the counts won’t be right. Some paper ballots apparently were found with the names of candidate from 2018. I don’t know what his evidence is, but he’s made the talk shows and news.

The responsibility for voting lies with the Secretary of State for Rhode Island, Nellie Gorbea. She is also a candidate for governor, running in that same primary tomorrow in a close race for the Democratic nomination (Speaker Pelosi is up here campaigning for her.)

This is like the “beware of falling rocks” sign that has been crushed by falling rocks.
