Where Have All the Workers Gone (Long Time Passing)?

Where Have All the Workers Gone (Long Time Passing)?

There are fewer unemployment claims in the US today than there have been in the past 50 years. Yet we’ve had a “great resignation.” Where did all those people go? Are we looking at the “gig economy” big time?

And is this perhaps an opportunity for organizations of all sizes to finally streamline and become more efficient through the use of technology, independent contractors, and customer control? If you can buy cars out of a “vending machine” today, you can certainly have cashless and completely automated stores.

I’ll tell you what would decline dramatically: employee theft!

In an internet age, why aren’t we expected to collect hard copy mail at a central station and receive delivery only at extra cost or only if incapacitated?

Most retail salespeople I’ve run into aren’t all that helpful. I’d gladly visit a coffee shop minus barrista attitude.
