I’m in a suite in a luxury hotel in DC and, like so many other such places, the lighting is insufficient to shave well (and I’d imagine to put on makeup well), and the multitude of lights work off a wide variety is disparate mechanisms.
Don’t they force designers to try to live in the rooms they create?
I recall long ago a female design chief at Ford found that she couldn’t enter the cars being created gracefully in a skirt. She had all the male designers wear skirts and told them if they couldn’t improve the entry for women they’d be all wearing heels next. That fixed the design flaw.
