Ego vs. Efficacy

Just because someone asks you to be on their podcast, YouTube channel, teleconference, internet radio show, cable show, or any related medium doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.

Ask yourself: What’s the real (not claimed) demographic and numbers? Are these people my true buyers? Who else has been on?

One “host” cited a dozen prior guests, not one of whom I’d ever heard of.

I turn down 90% of these requests because they are mostly people looking to claim credit for having guests on very limited-reach shows. Don’t let your ego waste your time.
