Is There Help Available for How to Drink My Martini? (Hurry, it’s getting warm.)
I’ve never used the automatic parking feature on the three of my cars which have it. I can park faster and better myself, and the feature still requires me to shift gears myself. I haven’t used the cruise control option on any car, owned or rental, is at least 20 years. I think it’s dangerous in traffic and boring when there’s no traffic.
Manufacturers apparently believe that by providing everything that anyone might want in a single vehicle, they’re doing us a favor (I doubt they’re saving money). I recall when I was younger they had ballpoint pens that had three different colors (black, blue, red) and you pushed a different button for each one to emerge. All of the colors were awful and the pen points terrible.
We recently purchased a “smart” TV for a spare bedroom, and we needed a local specialist to program it, which took an hour. Do I need all of the features on that set in a spare bedroom? Nope. But, take it or leave it.
It seems as if you need to watch a video today to change a battery (I just did, to do that for one of my car keys).
It’s snowing up here, and I can still go out and make a snowball without help or delay. Or can I? Here’s the web site with instructions on how to make the perfect snowball: https://www.funboy.com/blogs/funboy-life/how-to-make-a-snowball#:~:text=Cup%20your%20hands%20and%20then,rotation%2C%20gradually%20increase%20the%20pressure.
Technology, in and of itself, does not represent progress unless it saves us time, protects us better, and improves our performance. Remember GIGO? (Garbage in, garbage out.) How about TINO: technology in, nonsense out.
