Prague

Prague

Below you’ll find photos of The Old Town Square; an incredible, huge, multi-floor train display; some of the architecture; and the Jewish Cemetery. The cemetery has 12,000 tombstones estimated to be on top of 12 layers of prior graves, meaning there are well over 100,000 people buried in this tiny area dating back to the 1500s.

We weren’t allowed to shoot within the Synagogue, but I could shoot inside the church we attended for English-language mass at noon, which was so packed there was standing room only. That church has more elaborate art work than any I’ve seen outside of major cathedrals. You can see all the photos on my Facebook page.

Some of the chapel work in the Infant of Prague Church.

The top of the altar. The church dates to the 17th Century.

A very realistic roundhouse and roundtable.

Looks like a photo of an ore unloading area.

The autos move along the roadways with working lights. Incredibly complex.

Old Town Center. Notice the pigeon smack on the statue's head!

Another huge church in the old town.

Fine, detailed work on the house facades.

The Jewish cemetery.

We'll visit the palace and the rest of the town tomorrow.

The Jewish cemetery is remarkable. Quite a contrast to most cemeteries I’ve ever seen.
