I’ve long preached that you shouldn’t assume anyone is “damaged” unless you have evidence that they are. You’ll find that evidence about five percent of the time in my experience. When you find it in a buyer (habitually late, won’t listen, doesn’t respect your time, etc.), simply walk away. There are other buyers and other projects. Don’t demean yourself and don’t enable damaged behavior. And think about the weaklings who would work for such a person. You don’t need this in your life.
