Is Time On Your Side?

Is Time On Your Side?

“I don’t have time” is the dumbest excuse in the world. Of course you have time (and so do your prospects). We all have 24 hours every day.

The question is what you do with your time. If you see your life as regimented into “compartments” you’ll have a lot less flexibility. (I can’t swim during working hours and I can’t take a business call on vacation.) If you see time as some precious resource that’s non-sustainable, you’ll simply watch it fritter away.

Time is a priority. The question is where you apply it. People can’t “create” time for you, they have to give you time they’re taking from doing something else. The same for you. “I don’t have time for my kid’s soccer game” isn’t true. You may choose not to go, and perhaps for good reason, but you certainly have the time if you want to apply it.

“Spending time” is far more serious than spending money.

I can always make another dollar, but I can’t make another minute.
