Rejection

Rejection

Someone told me the other day that their article was rejected by a publication. I told them to send the same article to other publications.

Some work is accepted or rejected on the basis of how good or bad a day the editor is having. Some actors are accepted or rejected in a casting call by what kind of day the casting director is having. It’s not always about you.

How many times should you try? How many rejections are “valid” to tell you your work is no good?

Well, I’m now working on the sixth edition of Million Dollar Consulting which has been on the shelves continually since 1992.

The original book was rejected 15 times.
