The Egocentrism of the Elected

The Egocentrism of the Elected

Can you imagine a corporation acting with its customers, employees, and suppliers the way our executive and legislative branches are now ceasing to cooperate? People would be fired, changes would be made, or firms would go out of business.

Why can the government act this way so childishly and selfishly? Because those in power are guaranteed their tenure; there is zero daily accountability; they don’t suffer when their constituents suffer; and they are focused on their own agendas and not the country’s best interests.

I don’t care what political party you favor, what’s happening now is unconscionable. And it’s caused by small people with small minds who are power-crazed. And it’s our accountability in that we put them there or didn’t care who won.
