We Have No Bananas Today. Yes, You do.

We Have No Bananas Today. Yes, You do.

Have you ever decided to purchase, join, or invest in something by giving up something else? You decide to take a vacation in Europe instead of going to Florida. You sell your existing car (or trade it in) in order to buy a new one. You sell some stocks in order to pay for school tuition for your kids. You cut back on some clothing purchases so that you can buy more gifts at Christmas.

We constantly reallocate money. So do organizations. Ask the buyers who cite poverty: “What are you funding now or budgeted to fund that will not produce nearly the return that this project will in the short term?” That’s a very different discussion than, “We have no money, get back to me early next year.”
